Observed Results
Rheumatoid Arthritis:
Eight patients with long-term, active disease were placed on daily dosages of 200 milligrams. All patients achieved remission of symptoms within two weeks, and in all patients all evidence of active disease had cleared within eight weeks. All patients have remained asymptomatic with no evidence of disease progression for two years.
Arthritis:
Five patients with relatively severe disease of small joints with 6% topical applications twice daily. All patients reported significant or complete relief of pain within two weeks.
Cancer:
Four patients received treatment for a period ranging between three and four years. They included one adenocarcinoma of the lung, one Hodgkin's disease and two non-Hodgkin's lymphomas. Patients were treated on a daily dosage of 200 milligrams. All patients showed regression of tumor or cessation of tumor growth, as well as overall improvement in clinical parameters. One patient demonstrated reinstitution of tumor growth due to cessation of therapy. The other three patients remain in remission.
Osteoarthritis and Inflammatory Polyarthritis:
Fifteen patients, including those with degenerative, psoriatic and arthritis associated with chronic fatigue syndrome, as well as non-specific polyarthritis, were treated with daily doses of 200 milligrams. All patients showed substantial or complete disappearance of all symptoms within eight weeks. All patients have been have been maintained without symptoms and without evidence of disease progression.
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome:
Four patients were treated with 200 milligrams daily, with all showing steady and substantial improvement. All patients were either totally or significantly disease-clear within three months.
Lupus Erythematosus:
One patient with associated colitis and arthritis was treated. Within 90 days patient was clear of all signs and symptoms of active disease, with complete resolution of arthritis and colitis and a reduction of ANAtiter to 1:30 from 1:1,880.
Herpes:
Forty patients comprising herpes simplex, genitalis, zoster and ophthalmic were treated. In herpes simplex and genitalis cases, all lesions treated early showed rapid cessation of viral expression and rapid clearing of lesion without evidence of blister formation. Most lesions cleared completely in 48 hours, while lesions that had progressed to significant size prior to treatment required up to four days for complete resolution. In cases of herpes zoster, all patients showed slow but progressive resolution of lesions, with complete clearing in periods ranging from two to six weeks. Most lesions already had been present for up to six months prior to treatment. In cases of herpes ophthalmic, patients showed rapid clearing of lesions in periods ranging from 48 hours to two days.
Venereal Warts:
Four patients received topical applications three times daily and showed complete clearing of all lesions within two weeks.
Common Warts (multiple manifestations):
Twenty-six patients received topical application twice daily. Although all patients showed steady improvement, significant variations in times to complete clearing were evidenced, apparently dependent upon the type of presentation of the wart(s). Some warts cleared within two weeks, but some required several months.
Acne:
Forty patients with chronic acne vulgaris, of varying degrees of severity, received 3% solution applied to lesions daily. All patients showed significant clearing of lesions, and new lesions formed less often and cleared quickly with subsequent applications.
Eczema:
Fourteen patients with the disease or neuro-dermatitis were treated, with 12 showing complete resolution of lesions within six weeks. Two patients showed only slight improvement.
Psoriasis:
Thirteen patients with varying degrees of severity were treated. Milder cases received topical application daily and all but two patients showed marked improvement or complete resolution. Three severe cases were treated with a combination of twice-daily applications and dosages of 200 milligrams three times weekly; all showed complete clearing of lesions within six weeks.
Seborrheic Dermatitis:
Ten patients with scalp and/or eyebrow lesions were treated with daily applications, and nine showed marked response and reduction in lesions.
Hemorrhoids:
Twenty-one patients ranging from small symptomatic hemorrhoids to large external and internally bleading hemorrhoids were treated either with topical application (lesser cases) or a combination of application and rectal suppository. All patients showed substantial to complete resolution within one week.
Fungal Diseases of the Skin:
Thirty patients were treated for various forms of skin fungus that had proven unresponsive to other forms of therapy. All patients treated with twice-daily topical application showed complete clearing of skin lesions in periods ranging between four and six weeks.
Wound Healing and Scar Prevention:
Various surgical and non-surgical wounds were treated with daily applications, with patients showing faster healing, no evidence of secondary infection and noticeable reduction in scar-tissue formation. Persons prone to keloid formation showed none while receiving treatment.
Canker Sores:
Nine patients reported rapid resolution of pain, with complete clearing of lesions within 48 hours following topical applications three times daily.
Impetigo:
Three patients achieved complete clearing within one week after twice-daily topical application.
Paronychia:
Four patients achieved complete clearing within 48 hours of daily application.
Burns:
Nineteen patients with first- and second-degree burns were treated, with all reporting immediate, substantial and sometimes complete relieve of pain, along with rapid reduction in swelling and erythema.
